Musicians choose favourite tracks from their back catalogue and

Number four in Pomona's Sleevenotes series is David Gedge, the
founder of The Wedding Present, a band which has had eighteen UK
Top 40 singles while maintaining a fiercely independent ethos. Formed
in Leeds in 1985 and still going strong, their hectic, heartfelt
songs made them darlings of both John Peel and the NME. On a hiatus
from the band in 1997, Gedge formed Cinerama to explore a wider
musical palette before reforming The Wedding Present seven years
later.
His thoughtful, personal songs have received wide critical acclaim
and picked up a huge fan base across the world. Here, he gives us
revealing glimpses into the background of 15 tracks, including 'Kennedy',
'Dalliance' and 'My Favourite Dress'.
